The research group MATPlast of the Department of Engineering "Enzo Ferrari" is active in the field of science and technology of polymers.
Specific areas of interest are:
- chemical-physical and mechanical characterization of polymers (thermoplastic and thermoset materials) and polymer matrix composite materials
- design and development of innovative formulations of plastics (filled polymers and polymer blends)
- design and synthesis/modification of macromolecular structures for special applications
- biopolimers
