An important in-progress tutoring service is the one that the "Enzo Ferrari" Department of Engineering has been activating for some years now, which involves the involvement and collaboration of the most deserving students at the end of their master's or doctoral degree program. 

Thanks to the University's "Youth Support Fund" project, students, selected on the basis of their academic merit, carry out guided tutorials especially for the basic subjects included in the first- and second-year curriculum and which may present difficulties for new matriculants.

The course of study is involved by the Department in in-progress tutoring activities that are carried out by senior-tutor students selected each year through a specific University call for applications. Therefore, the course of study makes use of the general tutoring service offered and coordinated by the Student Services Department called "Classroom Tutors."

Student tutors help other students, for example, in filling out online study plans, in studying particular subjects that are considered more challenging, in answering various questions that may arise especially at the beginning of a college career with respect to different courses, study modes, difficulties of a particular exam

The aim of the project is to prevent the phenomenon of dropout in the first year for undergraduate courses, and it involves the implementation of monitoring and support actions for freshmen from the time they enter the university.

Careers are then constantly monitored, starting with the analysis of the progress of passing math debt, and subsequent proficiency exams. 

Ad hoc targeted actions on individual students are, accordingly, established.
