The “Enzo Ferrari” Engineering Department promotes and is home to PhD courses in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), in Civil, Environmental and Materials Engineering and in Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering.

DIEF teachers are also involved in national doctorates in Sustainable Development and Climate Change, Micro and Nano-Electronics, Autonomous systems, Artificial Intelligence, Earth Observations, Polar Sciences and in the inter-university Doctorate Automotive engineering for intelligent mobility (Administrative headquarters: University of Bologna).
