Yesterday, we welcomed 43 new PhD students joining the 42nd cycle of our doctoral programmes in:

• Information and Communication Technologies
• “Enzo Ferrari” Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering
• Civil, Environmental and Materials Engineering

You arrived with your ideas, your expectations and perhaps a few butterflies. We began getting to know one another, discussing safety, international mobility and life as a PhD student. In your meetings with the programme coordinators, you then shared a little about yourselves and the journey you are about to begin.

Ahead lie three years of study and research, experiments to repeat, unexpected discoveries and challenges that seem impossible today. You won’t have all the answers straight away—we’ll work together to find them.

You are now part of a community you can turn to for support and enrich with your questions, ideas and fresh perspectives. Your contribution starts right here.

We’re delighted to have you with us. We can’t wait to get to know you better and discover what we’ll build together!
