MUSE – Motorvehicle University Skills Empowerment is a transformative initiative co-funded by the Region of Emilia-Romagna through regional funds (L.R. n. 25/2018, Article 2) and FSE+ 2021/2027, Priorità 2 – Education and Training, Specific Objective (e).
This innovative project is designed to enhance the quality, inclusiveness, and international competitiveness of higher education within the Motor Valley, a hub renowned for its cutting-edge automotive companies and advanced research institutions.
The project brings together a network of leading regional universities, including Unimore and Unibo as project coordinators, and a consortium of prominent automotive companies, to foster a dynamic ecosystem for high-level training and professional development. MUSE aims to bridge the gap between academic training and the evolving needs of the automotive industry by introducing state-of-the-art training modules, specialized summer and winter schools, and targeted digital communication campaigns.
Key objectives of MUSE include:
- Elevating the educational offer by integrating innovative training methods and technologies.
- Strengthening the collaboration between academia and industry to promote research, innovation, and professional excellence.
- Enhancing the international visibility and reputation of the regional education system through strategic partnerships and comprehensive communication efforts.
By leveraging regional funding and collaborative expertise, MUSE not only supports the development of advanced technical and digital skills but also reinforces the strategic role of the Motor Valley as a center of technological excellence and innovation. What is the European Social Fund Plus?

It aims to enhance citizens’ skills, strengthen their ability to face changes in the labor market, promote quality employment, and combat economic, social, gender, and generational inequalities.
The ESF+ 2021-2027 Program of the Emilia-Romagna Region
The Emilia-Romagna Region, through extensive dialogue with local authorities, stakeholders, and economic and social partners, has developed its strategy for programming available resources—amounting to over 1 billion euros. This program is the key instrument for implementing the European Pillar of Social Rights at the regional level. Projects funded with ESF+ resources are selected through transparent and competitive procedures that ensure quality and accountability.
