The opening hours of the Department are as follows:

Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: the department is equipped with an anti-intrusion system.

Entry and exit from the department's buildings (MO26, MO27, MO28 at any time, MO25 during closing hours) are only possible through the DESIGNATED ENTRANCE/EXIT (identified with a red sticker), located near the badge readers. The courses, available in Italian and English, are MANDATORY for all structured and non-structured personnel staying in the Department for a period of more than 3 months.

MAILING LIST ALL.DIEF

Several mailing lists are active in the Department to reach user groups.

All staff directly affiliated to the department are automatically included in the mailing list all.dief@unimore.it, which is used to convey general information requiring maximum publicity.

Excluded from this mailing list are all those who, although carrying out their activities within the Department, are affiliated to other structures, such as Interdepartmental Centres. PhD students and postdocs who find themselves in this condition may be included in the mailing list all.dief@unimore.it by writing to the departmental identity service.

STRUCTURED STAFF

Access to the buildings during opening hours requires a UniMore badge or health card. This authorisation is automatic for staff (structured and not) directly connected to DIEF (lecturers, researchers, PTA, external staff, DIEF PhD, DIEF postdoc). Staff not directly assigned to DIEF (e.g. PhD students and postdoc of Centres, Consortia or other Departments) are kindly requested to indicate their role to the identity service contacts of the Department.

TRAINEES

Trainees must fill the on-line form ‘Request for access to DIEF by TRAINEES’ below. The tutor must approve the trainee's request by assumption of responsibility, replying to the automatic email he/she receives.

PLEASE NOTE

In order to obtain the badge qualification, IT IS MANDATORY to complete the SicurMore FAD safety courses (available in both Italian and English): modules 1, 2, 3 of the General Training. Teaching and research staff are ALSO required to attend the Managers and Supervisors course. 

EXTERNAL STAFF

"External staff'' are all those whose role is not managed by central offices, i.e.:

  • scholarship holders, 

  • guests, 

  • visiting professor, 

  • external collaborators/researchers, 

  • staff from other universities (students, PhD students, staff),

  • external, contract, inter-university teachers,

  • ...

For all such assignments, a supervisor must write to the identity service, which will provide an autonomous pre-registration link for the user and assign unimore credentials and appropriate assignment. The person who acts as guarantor for the new user must inform the identity service of the new user's first and last name, role and expiry date of the assignment.

GRADUATE STUDENT

It is possible to assign a role of graduate student (GS) pending a structured assignment. The GS role allows the GS to work within the department with an insurance coverage, the amount of which varies according to the duration of the relationship. The GS must pay the fee via PAGOPA after approval by the Council/CDD, following the instructions on the attached form.

Once the procedure is finalised, the LF sends the completed form and the receipt of payment of the insurance fee to the identity service, for the activation of the assignment (Unimore credentials and access to departmental buildings).

 

Identity Service

Access to the facility during closing time requires the authorisation of the Department Director, which is requested by filling in the on-line form below. The presence of at least two people in the vicinity is required, at least one of whom must be structured (teaching staff, researcher, technical-administrative staff, research grant holder).

During closing hours, the facility does not guarantee the presence of first aid and fire-fighting personnel. Therefore, the badge qualification for access requires the mandatory attendance of the SicurMore course for working alone ‘FAD in solitude 115+118’, available on the Unimore website.

Access to office and laboratory buildings is only possible by means of a badge:

  • the white and red UniMore badge, issued to structured personnel (professors, researchers, research grant holders, technical-administrative staff). 
  • The ‘Mi Muovo’ student card must be activated by entering the number shown in the image on www.badge.unimore.it
  • Students can also access the libraries using the QR code generated by the Unimore App.

Structured/external staff and PhD students with direct affiliation to the Department can access the campus buildings with a badge/health card. PhD students, postdocs, structured personnel with affiliation other than DIEF can be enabled by contacting the departmental identity service.

Foreign guests without an italian health card can request a unimore badge to the departmental identity service.
